The board
The Boardy's soul lies in its full-length, composite board made of natural beech wood and glass fibre layers.
Flexible enough to absorb vibration from the road surface but incredibly strong to allow great handling. Layers of glass fibre make the board literally unbreakable. The boards are tested with over 250 kg (550 lbs) load, easily outperforming EU quality recommendations.
The boards flexibility is adjusted to best suit their riders with four variants available:
- Boardy KID for younger riders below 50 kg (110 lbs),
- "normal Boardy" for riders below 100 kg (220 lbs), and
- Boardy XXL for heavier users (up to 150 kg (330 lbs).
The board is available with different wood covers (bamboo, mahogany, maple, walnut, etc) and also black carbon cover. The characteristics of these board variations are the same with only their top cover wood layer being different.
Effortless ride with fewer kicks or higher speeds for a workout
Boardy allows one of the lowest feet position on the Boardy while keeping enough ground clearance thanks to the thin composite board.
Low feet position means less tiring kicks.
The board is designed to be wide enough to allow resting your feet side-by-side allowing you to change your kicking leg safely.
Riding the Boardy is much less tiresome than most other kick scooters thanks to the flexible board and high pressure Continental tires. A single kick can get you well over 50 meters of smooth roll on a level ground. A constant speed of around 15 km/h (10 mph) is easily kept by all riders for hours, without getting tired.
If you want some workout, however, you will be able to reach maximum speeds up to 33 km/h (20 mph) with your average speeds kept around 22 km/h (13 mph).

Thanks to its self designed aluminum QuickFold system the Boardy folds and unfolds in a few seconds.
The Boardy is often quoted as the lightest kick scooter of its size with its gross weight of only 5.8 kg (12.6 lbs).
While surprisingly easy to be lifted with a single hand, the Boardy can also be conveniently rolled on its rear wheel when folded.
The folded dimensions allow convenient storage of the Boardy in your apartment or at work. You can use public transportation with the Boardy or easily put it in the trunk of a car.
